Poem to Stan
By Dorothy Herridge nee Tibble.
In loving memory of my dear Stan -
killed in October 1918.

Oh I longed for the greeting And the earnest clasp of his hand
But God hast postponed that meeting It will be in the better land.
Do not ask me if I miss him There is still his vacant place And I cannot forget his footstep Or his loving smiling face
Too far dear Stan thy grave to see But not too far to think of thee
Dolly Tibble
